The only hat that is too big for me...

Happy Easter!

**We realize that the things she does are quite funny to us, but to anyone who is not related to her, you are probably quite bored. Grace has a new smile that she does- we call it the "fake smile" which she shows on the video towards the end.

Happy Easter

Grace will be 7 months tomorrow and we cannot believe it. Everyday we say, "this is the cutest she's ever been", and then she surprises us the next day with something even cuter. Our love for her grows stronger each day and we are so thankful that she is in our lives.

I had a wonderful week off and kept myself busy by visiting with friends, shopping, cooking and hanging out with Grace. I was even able to attend Mom's group, which we have both missed so much. They have added more Moms and babies to the group and on Wednesday there were 8 moms and 8 adorable babies rolling around, crawling, talking, and complaining. Long were the days of us actually being able to have a conversation!

Here are some pictures that we took of Grace this weekend.

Hmm, let's see how I can put this bunny in my mouth

Aunt Elena and Uncle Brent bought Grace this dress and she finally fit into it, just in time for Easter Sunday!

Happy Easter!

Spring Break

My folks came up last weekend for a quick visit... We had a fabulous time enjoying the amazing weather (short sleeves in SF!). Our visit was surrounded by great food and wine.

We made a delicious meal on Saturday night, many of the ingredients we got at the Farmer's Market that afternoon: mixed baby greens (the most perfect crisp greens from the farmer's market) with mustard vinaigrette, sauteed bok choy rabbe (so delicious , not at all like bok choy),Campagne bread (from one our favorite bakeries- Della Fattoria in Petaluma), true cod with mustard creme fraiche sauce and a potato galette. Yum!

On Sunday night, we went to this great pizzeria called Gialina http://www.gialina.com/. Probably the BEST pizza I have ever eaten. We shared 2 starters -Mariquita Farms Roasted Beets w/ dolce gorgonzola, hazelnuts & arugula , Saba Glazed Niman Ranch Pork Belly w/ "angry" beet greens w/ currants and our pizzas were: Fennel w/ red onions, olives, capers, pesto, ricotta & peppercress, Lamb Sausage Agrodolce w/ Spring onions, mozzarella, mint & yogurt and Wild Nettles w/ pancetts, portobella mushrooms & provolone. Of course I stayed away from the meat options and they were even able to make the nettle pizza with half pancetta.

We were not so great at taking pictures, though!

It was the most perfect day for a picnic. Alli and Brandon picked up delicious paninis from a market in Bernal Heights called Avedano's http://www.avedanos.com/

Here is Grace earlier in the week sitting up by herself for the FIRST time!
