We made a delicious meal on Saturday night, many of the ingredients we got at the Farmer's Market that afternoon: mixed baby greens (the most perfect crisp greens from the farmer's market) with mustard vinaigrette, sauteed bok choy rabbe (so delicious , not at all like bok choy),Campagne bread (from one our favorite bakeries- Della Fattoria in Petaluma), true cod with mustard creme fraiche sauce and a potato galette. Yum!
On Sunday night, we went to this great pizzeria called Gialina http://www.gialina.com/. Probably the BEST pizza I have ever eaten. We shared 2 starters -Mariquita Farms Roasted Beets w/ dolce gorgonzola, hazelnuts & arugula , Saba Glazed Niman Ranch Pork Belly w/ "angry" beet greens w/ currants and our pizzas were: Fennel w/ red onions, olives, capers, pesto, ricotta & peppercress, Lamb Sausage Agrodolce w/ Spring onions, mozzarella, mint & yogurt and Wild Nettles w/ pancetts, portobella mushrooms & provolone. Of course I stayed away from the meat options and they were even able to make the nettle pizza with half pancetta.
We were not so great at taking pictures, though!

It was the most perfect day for a picnic. Alli and Brandon picked up delicious paninis from a market in Bernal Heights called Avedano's http://www.avedanos.com/

Here is Grace earlier in the week sitting up by herself for the FIRST time!
