Grace Amelia and Siena Alexis

We went down to LA this last weekend to meet Siena.

Siena is the sweetest and best baby. I swear I did not hear her cry the whole time we were down visiting. It was fun to see Grace and Siena together. I thought I would let the photos tell the story of our trip:

Great Grandma Sally, Grace and Grandy

Grace LOVES Reggie and would get so excited every time her walked by. She was a little shy and scared of him at first, but then she was wanting to pet him and touch him as often as he would let her.

Grace also loves Simon. She had a special name for him- "dadedada" and said it every time he was in the room. She would raise her hands up and down in the air every time she saw him enter the room. Simon steered clear of her though.

Ready for her first time in the pool. Grace is not too happy about this

First dip, "I'm not sure I like this at all."

Didn't take long before she was loving the water!

Summertime

We had a wonderful week last week. Grace and I met up with our Play Group after a very long absence. Kirsten and Fia even drove down from Sacramento which was great! We were so amazed by how much they have grown and changed. When we first started meeting, they slept, ate and cried, now they are all over the place!

It is very difficult to take a picture when all of the babies are mobile! There Fia goes!

On Wednesday, Rachel and Noli drove up from Sacramento to have lunch with Adrienne, Grace and I. I cannot believe how much Noli has grown since we last saw her!

Here are new things that Grace is doing:

-She can mimic sounds that you make.
-She dances when she hears music by singing and bobbing up and down.
-She has learned how to feed others and will share her food with you if you ask (which I find to be the cutest and sweetest thing).
Messy, messy eater
Time to baby proof!

Grace's new sleep position- she moves her body all the way sideways so that she is crunched up in the corner.

Long Overdue!

So yes, I have been awful about updating and posting pics and all that! Today is my first official day of Summer and it feels GREAT! I even took a nap!

Grace is busy squealing in her crib, playing with her toys and turning her mobile on and off, so I will make this quick!

Here are her new stats at 9 months:
weight 16 pounds, 13 ounces; 25th percentile
height 28 inches; 75th percentile
head; 75th percentile

We were surprised to hear that she is only in the 25th percentile in weight, as she sure has grown in the last few weeks. She is an eating machine and really she is never full. The pediatrician said, once again, feed her until she stops. We try to explain to her that she'll never stop. She'll eat and eat. We sure love that our daughter takes after us.

Here are some new milestones:
scooting backwards
eating finger foods: whole wheat pasta, bananas, peas, lentils
waving and clapping on demand
grace got her first tooth and a second one is poking through it is soooo cute! it sure took a long time.

Our beautiful niece Siena Alexis was born on May 28th- Todd's birthday of all days. We feel blessed and lucky to have her in our lives and can't wait to meet her. She will be the fourth Gemini in our Family! Dan and Dalia are doing well and are loving having their little girl at home. I knew it was going to be a girl and I am so happy that Grace will have another cousin close to her age.

Here are some pics from the last few months:

We call this her "dog ear" look

This is what has recently been happening to Grace. She goes from sitting to her stomach and then gets stuck!

I don't want to take a picture now!!! But, Mom has to take a picture of the very cute PJs that Uncle Tom and Aunt Shannon bought her.

Yummy kale

Grace during tummy time.
She got really tired of all that hard work and grabbed her bear to use as a pillow. Smart girl.

This was in Sonoma at Brian's birthday last weekend. Grace and Carter were playing together and then Alyssa joined in on the fun. Quite humorous to all adults involved. Maybe she was a little jealous that Grace was getting in on her man :)
