Great news. Just got back from the appointment with the pediatric orthopedic specialist. Grace does not need a cast. We have an appt in 3 weeks to start titrating her from the brace.
Scans from today looked even worse to me than last week with a pretty large gap, but when the Dr. saw them he said "can you believe it but that looks good for her... at this age as long as the bones are in the same leg they'll heal."
There are no restrictions, other than never removing the brace from the left leg - even to bathe. He said she might even learn to move around in it soon.
Gracie thanks everyone for all of the love, support, and prayers. I think she could get used to this kind of spoiling!
